Background and Interest in Governance

Bevendean Primary School has played a significant role in my life. It supported me as a child, gave my own children an excellent start, and has been central to my wider family for generations. Now, as Director of Operations for a major multi site organisation, I want to use my professional experience to give something back to the school and community that shaped us.
Throughout my career I have focused on improving systems, strengthening teams, and solving operational challenges. I believe these skills can support Bevendean as it continues to grow, adapt, and deliver the best possible outcomes for its pupils. Having lived in the Bevendean community my entire life, I care deeply about the school and want to play an active role in helping it develop, improve, and provide outstanding opportunities for local children.

Hobbies and interests

Football and fishing are two of my biggest passions in life. As a lifelong Liverpool supporter, I have travelled across the country and Europe following the team, and football has always been a major part of who I am. I am also heavily involved in running Coldean Colts, the largest youth football club in the school’s area. Through coaching and running the club over many years, I have worked with a large number of local children, many of whom attend Bevendean Primary School. This connection has given me a strong understanding of the community, the families, and the aspirations of the young people we serve.
