Our Year So Far:
We would like to thank all our parents and carers for attending open sessions and parents evening during this term. It is always so lovely to welcome you into school and our classes.
This term we have had a ball making jewellery, pots and cave paintings for our Stone Age topic.
In English, we took over our playground to make caves that the children decorated with colourful materials, using the amazing outdoor space that is available to us at our school. We have also enjoyed introducing new story books with fun activities to inspire our writing. Our books have been Stone Age Boy, Stone Age – Bone Age and How To Wash A Woolly Mammoth.
In maths, we have been exploring place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using a range of resources. We have had a big focus on learning our 3 and 4 times tables this term.
During assemblies, children have enjoyed sitting collectively, enjoying and celebrating each other’s work as well as listening to teachers read and talk about their favourite books.
Thanks for all your help and support so far and we look forward to seeing you soon.
