We have had a great start to the Autumn Term. The children have enjoyed learning about life in the Victorian times. They all agree that you wouldn’t have wanted to be a child Chimney Sweep!
In Maths we have been learning about place value and working with numbers up to 10,000. We also have learnt to calculate a perimeter of a shape (including a rectilinear shape) and have started to learn about negative numbers.
In English, we are learning to make our writing more interesting by including expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials and direct speech. We enjoyed a visit from an author and some trainee teachers from Brighton University.
In Computing, we have been learning about Podcasts and have recorded our own voices.
We enjoyed talking about the Rugby World Cup and learning how to play tag Rugby. We are now being tennis experts!
